Jim Forsberg rips me off for $100

How come most cops are dishonest crooks?

Cops have to have probable cause to stop you!

Like most people I used to think the police could stop anybody, anytime for any reason. I found out that was wrong when I got a job were I worked with Jim Forsberg, who in the daytime was a computer programmer like me and in the nighttime was a Phoenix Police Reserve Officer.

Jim Forsberg taught me that the police either have to have “reasonable suspicion” or “probable cause” to legally stop someone.

Jim Forsberg - Crook

But when it comes to honesty Jim Forsberg is just another crook, like the crooks he loves to brag about arresting when he talks about his life as a Phoenix cop.

When I first started to work at Sperry Flight Systems James Forsberg was always borrowing money for junk food from me.

Jim Forsberg never paid me back so I quickly said “Jim no more loans for you till you pay me back”.

Oddly James Forsberg paid me back. Probably because he wasn’t me for a back up loan, when he couldn’t mooch a loan from someone else. I would still loan him money and he would pay me back.

James Forsberg rips off Ken Huff

He was rumored that Jim Forsberg ripped off another employee, Ken Huff who worked in our group as a computer programmer for several hundred dollars. Based on how Jim Forsberg operates it was probably true.

Jim Forsburg shakes down Don Smith

Jim Forsberg also used to shake down another contractor in our group for loans that he never paid back. That guys name was Don Smith. We hired him as a computer programmer but he couldn’t program. So they switched him to documenting stuff.

I told Don Smith that I refused to let Jim Forsberg shake me down for money with loans he never intended to pay back. Oddly Don Smith told me he just viewed the loans he gave to Jim which were never paid back as a cost of doing business at Honeywell. Probably since Don Smith couldn’t program, it was wise of him to stay in good terms with Jim, as to keep his job.

James Forsberg rips me off for $100

James Forsberg didn’t rip me off till I had left Honeywell which was around 1989.

Jim Forsberg scheme for ripping off people is he tells the person that he runs a business that buys used cars, fixes up the cars and resells the car at a profit.

That certainly can be done. And you can make lots of money at it. I did it in college. We often bought VW’s with blown engines, rebuilt the engine and then sold the car. We made good money doing it.

Jim Forsberg operates the scheme like this. He tells you that if you loan him $100, $500, or $1,000 he will use it to buy a car. He will resell the car, give you half of the profits, and give you back the money you gave him to buy the car.

But Jim Forsberg never gives you half the profits. James Forsberg doesn’t even give you the money you loaned him back. He cheats you out of everything.

With me I figured I would loan Jim Forsberg $100 to limit my potential losses. I would also keep him on a short leash and keep the title to the car to guarantee that I got my investment back and my profits back.

James Forsberg took my $100, bought a car, fixed it up and then found a buyer.

Then to rip me off Jim came up with some lame excuse on why I had to give him the title.

I gave him the title. I didn’t know if he would rip me off or not. I figured if he doesn’t rip me off we could make a lot of money in the long run. And if he did rip me off I would only be out of $100.

Jim Forsberg did rip me off and that was the end of our business relationship.

Jim Forsberg rips off Chuck Howie for $1,000

James Forsberg also ripped off another guy we worked with at Honeywell, Sperry Flight System named Chuck Howie, Chuck Howe, Chuck Howei or something like that.

It was the same lies he fed me. Except Jim Forsberg ripped Chuck off for $1,000.

And isn’t it interesting that the same Jim Forsberg is also a Phoenix Police Officer!

Don Smith a cop I actually got along with

Don Smith can't program computers

Don Smith came to Honeywell as a computer programmer. However we soon found out he couldn’t program computers. I though we should fire him. After all we wanted a computer programmer. But they kept him around and let him write documentation instead.

Normally I hate cops but Don Smith was an ex-cop who knew his place in life. He was a crook and admitted it. While Jim Forsberg was a crook who though he wasn’t a crook because he was a cop.

According to Don Smith he was first a cop. I think he said he was a cop in Garden Grove or Laguna Beach, both which are suburbs of Los Angeles down in Orange County.

Cops get marijuana for free!

Don Smith told me the best part about being a cop was you got your marijuana for free. He told me they would pay the good guy, bad guy on people they stopped and found had marijuana.

One of them would argue that they should arrest the people and jail them. The other cop could argue that they should just take the pot and let them go.

They always took the pot and let the people go. If they arrested the people they would have to turn in the pot as evidence and wouldn’t get to smoke it themselves.

At least Don Smith knew he was a crook.

Don Smith the lock picker

Don Smith also used to carry around a set of lock picks. He got me started on picking pin tumbler locks which I had never picked before. Now I always carry around a set of lock picks.

Don Smith an EE?

Don Smith said that after being a cop he got a degree in electrical engineering and worked at some of the big aerospace companies in the Los Angeles area. He claimed to do defense work. He mentioned how they all used slide rules and did all the calculations manually. I don’t know if he made that up or if it is the truth.

Don Smith also claimed to have a ranch or home in Utah somewhere out in the boondocks. That is probably true. He sent me a post card from it. And I sent him one back.

Don Smith was hired around the time I went to Japan. The week I went to Japan our boss John Nunley got fired for some trivial stuff. It was kind of sad John didn’t really do anything wrong.
