Phoenix cop stops me with out probable cause

This was last time I was illegally stopped by the police without probable cause.

At the time I was working for Markwood Inc. and I would get a job as a headhunter for a week and quit and go back to Markwood. It wasn’t till I quit Markwood for the 2nd time and went to work at Sperry Flight Systems that I would learn the police can’t stop you for any willy nilly reason they want, but they must have “probable cause” or “reasonable suspicion” to stop a person in a car, or detain a person on foot.

One of the headhunters who tried to place me into a job asked me if I would like to go to work as a headhunter. I know they make really good money. Back in those days $100K+, which was twice what I was making as a computer programmer. So I told them OK I will go interview with your company.

Whenever I go on an interview I always check out the place. Mainly so I will get there on time.

For some reason I checked out this place at around 9 p.m. at night.

I don’t remember exactly where the place was. I think somewhere on 16th Street. Maybe near Bethany Home Road or that area.

A Phoenix cop saw me and stopped me. He told me that the reason he stopped me is because I looked suspicious. Of course I didn’t know it at the time but it is illegal for cops to stop people because they look suspicious.

To legally stop a person in a car a cop has to have either “probable cause” or “reasonable suspicion”. But this cop admitted up front that he stopped me because I looked suspicious.
