Phoenix Police stop me with out probable causePhoenix cop claims he doesn’t need probable cause to stop me!Like most people I used to think the police could stop anybody, anytime for any reason. I found out that was wrong when I got a job were I worked with Jim Forsberg, who in the daytime was a computer programmer like me and in the nighttime was a Phoenix Police Reserve Officer.Jim Forsberg taught me that the police either have to have “reasonable suspicion” or “probable cause” to legally stop someone. If they stop someone and they don’t have either of those terms then the police are the criminals and have violated the persons who they stopped civil rights. This incident happened in the first couple years when I worked at Sperry Flight Systems. In this case the cop stopped me while I was riding my bike along the Arizona Canal. Since I wasn’t in a car the cop didn’t need either “probable cause” or “reasonable suspicion” to question me, but he did need it to detain me. Since I new cops needed a legal reason to stop people I asked him what his “probable cause” for stopping me was. The cop lied to me and said that the police don’t need “probable cause” to stop people. He gave me this rubbish that a California court thru out the concepts of needing “probable cause” to stop people. I though man what rubbish these cops will feed you. This was back when I used to give cops fake names. I gave him a fake name. Then the cop demanded that I produce something with my address on it like a water bill. Sorry when I ride my bike for 10 miles everyday I don’t carry a water bill with my address to present to any cop that stops me with my proof of address. At the time I was worried that the cop might arrest me for the cactuses that I was carrying. But he didn’t say a word about the cactuses. Anytime I see cactuses that are thrown out or hacked off I always grab them and bring them home and plant them. The things grow like weeds if you water them.
